Over here in the Triangle at least. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. If all I've got to deal with is salt and mud on my fresh wash job, it's a small price to pay for a little riding.

Today will be adding new LED turn signals, front and back, and new rear brake pads with a light cleaning. It's finally raining here again so I can work on it. Yesterday was a quick trip to the Yosemite Gate, (to purchase our annual pass before the price goes up 50% next week!), and lunch at our favorite BBQ place that just re-opened yesterday. Both days make for good days!

Well, after doing all this today, along with tightening up a loose rear turn signal, I discovered what appears to be a bit of shock oil running down my right fork. I had just changed the fork oil out a few weeks ago and must have disturbed the seals. Not sure how, but 43,000 miles on 14 year old seals, I guess I was asking for it. Looks like it's time to upgrade the springs and toss some emulators in there while I got it all tore apart again, right? When do the mods ever stop, lol! I really don't have much more that I can do to this thing, or at least I hope not!

Put her Buck's finned oil filter cover back on and made her drink some MMO. Took her on a 120 mile ride to see all the other bikes that were out. Made her sit out in the crisp low 50s while I had coffee and a snack. Made her charge up hill at about 75 several times.

Re:What did you do to your bike today 3 Years ago
This is what I have done since last riding season.

1. 110 cu in big bore kit (in process) (Patrick Racing).

2. Ported/polished heads w/heavy duty valve springs (Self ported/polished) (done)

3. Port matched intake manifold. (done)

4. HSR 45 carb or modified stock cv carb bored out to 42mm (I have both will use the one that performs the best)I also dipped and rebuilt both carbs

5. Barrnett clutch (done) thanks Timb

6. 10 in x 1 1/4 apes. ( I won an Ebay auction for $35 and they are new not used)

7. 4 inch bag extensions.

8. L.E.D. brake lights on bag filler panels.

9. Hiway pegs.

I'm sure something else will come up before riding season so there may be more coming.

I also bought a Honda CBR 600 that I installed new front forks (old forks bent), brake pads and a few other various parts that were broken when I bought it. (bike had been down) Still waiting for the plastic body kit to be delivered.

Also on my buddys R*

Dchopper bag mounts
HD bags
Wolo horn
Hiway pegs
Bassani true dual exhaust
HD hiway bar w/HD lower fairings
Oil pump Gear
There is also some other things in the box of parts for his bike.

Do these look OK?

Don't get much better than that. How many miles on them?

So they're ok? And I don't know on the milage on them

No they are not OK!!!! They show an extreme lean condition. That is why your pipes are Blue. On a fuel injected water cooled engine a spark plug will have a whiter porcelain but not quite as white as the one in the first pic. Problem is are bikes are not water cooled or all fuel injected. The plugs in my pic are exactly what they should look like at they AFR readings I quoted in my post.

The only thing on those plugs that look OK is the lack of wear on the center electrode. All that means is that they do not need to be replaced at this time.

http://roadstarclinic.com/images/fbfiles/images/spark_plug_post-fbdd7269c10413579546bb324f13e0de.jpg
These plugs are from my Bike set to a AFR of 13.5 idle and about 14- 14.5 AFR cruise. Not the best pic but I think you should get the idea of the proper color.

I find it amazing how someone can read a plug from a picture over the internet. To properly read whether a plug is displaying lean or rich tendencies requires one to be able to view the color of the porcelain cone just before it makes contact to the inner edge of the threaded metal jacket. With plugs in hand that requires a good light source and a magnifying glass to be able to read the band colors on the insulator cone deep down inside the threaded section. And from the two pictures provided accurately reading those plugs is extremely difficult. You will see from this link where to look and what you find is explained quite clearly. Todays fuels burn very cleanly and will fool you if you look at just the tip of the insulator tip, don't believe me read the article completely http://www.jetsrus.com/FAQs/FAQ_spark_plugs.htm
